Choose the Best Folding Mobility Scooter with a HCPCS Code

Luggie Classic 2 joined the Luggie family over two years ago. Some people struggle to with choosing between a  Luggie Elite or Luggie Classic 2. Let us help you make a choice.

The Luggie Classic 2 is the only folding mobility scooter with HCPCS Code: K0801.

Some patients are able to get their scooters covered under Medicare or private insurance. Are you looking to get a new mobility scooter that Medicare may cover? We’ll compare the Luggie Classic 2 and Luggie Elite below to help you get a better understanding.

Both Luggie Classic 2 and Luggie Elite have the same weight capacity. Luggie Elite is equipped with a Li-ion battery and has an LED battery indicator and 16” width seat. However, Luggie Classic 2 is a budget-friendly model for people who need to be covered by Medicare or own a budget-friendly mobility scooter.

In short, Luggie Elite is for people who prefer a comfortable and convenient folding scooter that doesn't require the use of an adaptor to connect the li-ion battery and they will have a more comfortable seat than Luggie Classic 2.
